Crochet Dinosaur Beanie Pattern

So here's the dinosaur pattern i came up with for my son. I started with a pattern from neannersshop.blogspot.com named EZ Earflap but didn't do the stripes. Then i made the spikes:
Hook: 5mm(H) *Mark the first stitch in each round because you will be crocheting in a spiral, so don't join your rounds* Round 1: Make a magic loop/ring and do 6 single crochets in the loop. Pull Tight. OR Chain 2 and do 6 single crochets in the second chain.(6sc) Round 2: Single crochet around (6sc) Round 3: 2 single crochet in the first stitch, 1 single crochet in the next stitch - repeat around (9sc) Round 4: Single crochet around (9sc) Round 5: 2 single crochet in the first stitch, 1 single crochet in the next stitch - repeat around (14sc) Round 6: Single crochet around (14sc) Round 7: Single crochet around (14sc) Round 8: Single crochet in first and second stitches, 2 single crochet in third - repeat around (18sc) Round 9: Single crochet around (18sc) Round 10: Single crochet around(18sc) Round 11: Single crochet around (18sc) Fasten off, leaving at least a foot or so of yarn to sew to the top of the beanie. I did 5 spikes but 6 could work as well. I stuffed my spikes but they will keep there shape without it. Rawr!!!
